Working in Winnersh

As part of a programme working in partnership with Winnersh Parish Council, our team have been out in the Winnersh area delivering detached youth work. We have visited a range of recreational areas and housing wards to engage with young people. These areas have been very quiet and very cold, but it is great to see that the facilities in the area are being used by families, and that there have been no issues with young people over recent weeks. One local resident said, “it is great to see staff out and about trying to engage with young people, so it has been very quiet in the area over the last few weeks. “Another said it’s a shame that there is not much to do in the area so it is great you are trying to provide some positive engagement for them as there are no spaces nearby that they can just go to “

We thank Winnersh Parish Council for the opportunity to try and engage with young people. our team will be attending their next meeting to update, review and plan for future support toward young people in that area
