Fusion Street based Youth Worker - An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Youth Worker to join our Team at the Thatcham Fusion Youth Project. Working as a street based Youth Worker engage with vulnerable young people in a range of youth settings including streets, parks, estates, youth hubs, schools and voluntary organisations, to consult a future youth offer ensuring young people can have a say in the future of services in Thatcham, supporting the voice of young people.
Our Fusion project seeks to work with young people to improve safety and promote well-being of young people by focusing on working with young people involved with or vulnerable to becoming involved with crime, anti-social behaviour and/or substance misuse.
You will need some experience in youth work and skills in engaging young people, regardless of their background. On-going training will be provided for the successful applicant.
You will need to be prepared to work unsociable hours as the role is for 3 – 9 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, delivery includes afternoons and evenings. The role will up to 31st March 2020 with review of project after 1 year.
This post requires an enhanced DBS disclosure. A clear driving license and use of a car are essential for this post.
Salary will be £7.62 – £9.89 per hour
